Born 1975 in Lüneburg. Studied Applied Media Science at the TU Ilmenau and Animation at the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen Konrad Wolf. Besides own projects since 1998 freelance animation supervisor for numerous TV commercials as well as lead character animator and animation director for CGI feature productions.

His films have been shown at over 300 festivals worldwide and won over 30 prizes and awards. The music clip ADOLF - ich hock' in meinem Bonker had over 8 million downloads on youtube and other video platforms in 2006 alone. Besides lectures and presentations at the Universität der Künste Berlin, the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden, the Akademie der Künste in Berlin and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Felix Gönnert has given several workshops at home and abroad. He has worked on selection committees and juries for film festivals, including the Generation Section of the Berlinale, the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film, the Berlin International Short Film Festival and others.

Since 2013 Felix Gönnert has been appointed Professor of Computer Animation at the Film University with focus on character animation. His films can be found on his website as well as extensive information: www.animaflix.com
