The Future of digitisation? The IMPULSE project kicked off in February 2024

FBKW is participating in the Horizon Europe project IMPULSE, which combines scientific practice with artistic input to create a digital blueprint for the future. The project examines and enhances best practices in digitisation and integrates XR technology into the digital ecosystem.

FBKW’s Creative eXchange Studio is participating in a European Union initiative to prepare the future of the European digital ecosystem for cultural heritage. The IMPULSE project is led by the Jagiellonian University of Krakow, Poland.

FBKW joins a wide selection of European partners to review digitisation practices to date and to develop new methods of ensuring the digital cultural heritage remains accessible and usable. CX Studio activity will focus on their digital archives of Holocaust interviews ‘In Echt?’ and the Volumetric Video Archive.

IMPULSE is a 3-year Horizon Europe project (2024-2027). IMPULSE partners include KU Leuven (Belgium), University of Bologna (Italy), the University of Athens (Greece) and the University of Malta.
